The auction night is an event that comprises a meeting of the minds and a love of the game with the climax of a pressure-ridden, heart-pumping, drama-driven auction of Queensland's best club cricketers. After the nomination closing date, the Northern Kings will be strategically mapping picks from a list of applicants that have applied for auction. On auction night, each team will have a salary cap to stick to, therefore, must be aware of maxing out too soon. Equally, with some smart planning (and a bit of luck) we hope to sneak the steal of the night – a relatively unknown country player that turns into BPL brilliance.
